The written exam conducted by L&T for selection is moderate. The exam has around 125 questions from English Language, Logical Ability, Quantitative Ability, Technical Aptitude and Technical core sections with a time allotment of 70 minutes in total. The Quantitative Ability (around 15 questions) features questions on topics like algebra, time & work, time, speed & distance, arithmetic, percentages, profit & loss, geometry etc. English Language(around 20 questions) consists of short reading comprehension passages and basic grammar usage questions like fill in the blanks, synonyms, antonyms, paragraph completion, sentence completion, vocabulary, etc. Logical Ability (around 15 questions) section consists of data interpretation, logical reasoning questions, solving puzzles, coding decoding, pie charts, line graphs, blood relation, etc. Technical Aptitude (around 60 questions) consists of topics related to specific domains such as mechanical, electrical, civil. Technical core (around 15 questions) features basic engineering questions. There is no negative marking in the exam.
