• inspirationThe inspiration for the earliest Sony logo. It was registered as a trademark in 1955 appeared on a few products of the company in 1957. The current form of the Sony wordmark was introduced two years later in 1959 with a goal to “communicate strength and simplicity”. The logotype underwent a few minor changes in 1961, 1962, 1969, and 1973and , most of these were executed by Sony designer Yasuo Kuroki.
