Test Pattern & Selection Procedure of Reliance Industries

Reliance Industries Industries Limited (RIL) is the Core Company for engineering students. It was founded in 1966 and is headquartered in Mumbai, India. The company is the India’s largest private sector enterprise. The company operates in three segments: petrochemicals, refining and oil & gas. The company also works in the sectors like retail & textile business and special economic zone (SEZ).
Selection Process:
Reliance Industries conducts recruitment process every year to select new candidates. The selection process of the company consists of 3 rounds. These rounds are as follows:
  • Written Exam
  • Technical Interview
  • HR Interview
Academic Criteria:
  • Minimum requirement -60 percent throughout (Class X , XII , Graduation).
  • Gap of one year is allowed.

Time allotted for the written exam is 60 minutes. There is 0.25 negative marking in the exam.
Details:
  • Aptitude section consists of questions based on data interpretation, graphs, blood relations, statement reasoning, etc. Also, there are questions from basic mathematics like time, speed & distance, algebra, arithmetic, permutation & combination, etc. Further, there are questions are from English language like grammar usage, fill in the blanks, reading comprehensions etc.
  • Technical section involved questions from core subjects of Mechanical, electrical and civil engineering. This section was tough and required thorough preparation. A person whose basics are clear could easily excel in this section
Overall the level of the paper is moderate to tough. Only those candidates who clear the written exam will qualify for the next round.
