From 2008 onward the company started expanding its customer base through various acquisitions such as Atrica (An Israeli Firm), Apertio (A UK Company) and the wireless-network equipment division of Motorola in 2011. In 2013 Nokia bought the shares of Siemens Communications and become the full-owner of the company. The company serves 150 countries globally and their products include evolved packet core, mobile broadband support, subscriber data management, and transport networks.
The company has a major contribution in the mobile telephone industry and is the one of the largest producers of mobile phones. The company has also laid down a comprehensive guideline strategy for their technology vision of 2020.
