The written exam conducted by Microsoft for selection is moderate to difficult. The exam is generally consists of 71 questions from Aptitude, Technical and Essay writing sections with a time allottement of 90 minutes.. Aptitude section (around 40 questions) consists of questions based on data sufficiency, visual reasoning, data interpretation, syllogism, blood relations, statement reasoning, etc. The syllabus for Technical section (around 30 questions) includes core subjects of computer science and regularly features topics of C & C++ programming, Data structures, Algorithms, Databases, RDBMS, etc. Essay writing section which has a word limit of 250-300.Basic grammatical errors, spellings will be checked. There is no negative marking in the paper. Microsoft keeps on changing the test pattern.
