TCS iON CCQT (Common Corporate Qualifier Test) is a two stage assessment for candidates who aspire to work in reputed companies across the globe. The qualifying candidates’ profile and score is sent to 100+ companies, which then call the candidates for interviews. CCQT score is valid for the next 12 months. TCS iON CCQT - Exam Pattern
In the first stage, candidate is required to appear in an online test that is conducted across major cities of India. This assessment intends to evaluate the candidate’s abilities in various areas, as per the latest exam trends. It consists of a one mandatory part (with three sections) and one optional part (technical section). The table below shows the test pattern for CCQT:

From the optional domains, candidate can choose to attempt one or two sections.
Candidates who clear the first stage are eligible for the second stage. The qualified candidates will receive a separate communication stating the deadline for completing the stage 2.
The second stage is a video based assessment that tests the candidates on their communication and behavioural soft skills. In this, the candidate will find three questions and will have to video record his/her response in a time limit of 15 minutes. Once the candidate has qualified both the stages, his/her profile and score is sent to the participating companies.
TCS iON CCQT is conducted four times in a year: March, June, September and December.

In this section, questions are asked from the following areas:

- Time, speed and distance

This section tests your knowledge of programming concepts and coding. You are given 1 coding question that needs to be answered in any one of the programming languages: Java, C, C++, Pearl or Python.
Mechanical Engineering
This section features a case study from any of the following areas:
Engineering materials, Production engineering, Industrial engineering and CAD/CAM.
IC engines, Thermodynamic cycles and steam generators, Heat transfer, refrigeration and air conditioning.
- Fluid and Machine Mechanics
Strength of materials, Theory of machines, Machine design and fluid machinery.
Civil Engineering
In this section, a case study will be given from any of the following topics:
Applied mechanics, Strength of materials, Building materials and construction, Theory of structures, Steel structures, Concrete technology and R.C.C. Design.
