Course Details

Imagine the movement of a river. At any two points in time, from a single point in space, the river is never the same. It is continuously moving. Such a movement of water is called ‘flow’. The study of ‘flow’ is called Fluid Mechanics.

Ancient relics and existing structures from the time of Egyptians, Greeks and Romans bear proof of the presence of elaborate water systems borne out of a deep understanding of hydraulics and hydrodynamics. Did you know that Leonardo Da Vinci, the great explorer, painter and scientist, is also said to have studied the water systems in detail?

Comprising of video tutorials and assignments, this module is designed to help mechanical engineering students quickly revisit the concepts of Fluid Mechanics and save themselves the embarrassment of forgetting basic engineering concepts during technical round in campus placements.
