Toyo Engineering Corporation is an engineering and construction services company based in Japan. Founded in 1961, the company provides assistance to various industries including petrochemicals, transportation systems, power generation, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, etc. Toyo Engineering has a significant presence in India, China, Iran, Indonesia, and Russia.
In 1963, the company got its first overseas contract for a fertilizer plant. Toyo established its international procurement unit in 1972. Soon after, the company started expanding and diversifying its business. In year 2010, it gained the acquisition of Tri Ocean Engineering Limited of Canada. At present, Toyo Group conducts operations through its main engineering unit along with 27 subsidiaries and 11 affiliates.
Toyo Engineering launched in India in 1976. After the liberalisation of Indian economy, Toyo-India became the ‘Preferred Engineering Partner’ among all public sector companies and corporate houses. Currently, the company has its office in Mumbai.
