The written exam conducted by Cummins for selection is moderate to difficult. The exam has around 60 questions from Aptitude and Technical sections with a time allotment of 60 minutes in total. In the Aptitude section (around 30 questions); the students will have to solve questions related to Quantitative, Logical Reasoning and Verbal sections. This verbal section also consists of basic grammar usage questions like fill in the blanks, synonyms, antonyms, paragraph completion, sentence completion, vocabulary, etc. In the Logical Reasoning section consists of questions on data interpretation, logical reasoning questions, puzzles, graphs, charts and tables are regularly asked. The Quantitative Ability section features questions on topics like algebra, time & work, time, speed & distance, arithmetic, percentages, profit & loss, geometry etc. The Technical section (around 30 questions) consists questions related to topics like thermodynamics, machine dynamics (pulleys) manufacturing science, heat transfer, etc. There is 0.25 negative marking in the paper.
