VMware Recruitment Process
VMware follows 4-5 stage process to select appropriate candidates for various roles. Being a technology innovator, the company shortlists candidates based on their creative and analytical skills. The process comprises of an online written test and 3-4 interviews. In case of campus recruitments, the company may place an eligibility criterion of minimum CGPA/percentage. Generally, the candidate needs to have atleast 7 CGPA before appearing for the test.

Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum 70% in class 10th, 12th, and graduation.
- Graduate in B.E/B.Tech (CS/IT/ECE/ET/EEE) or equivalent.
Online Test
The first stage is an online written test consisting of five sections. The level of this round is usually moderate to difficult. Every year, the test pattern has seen changes in time limit and number of questions. There is a sectional cut-off and negative marking in the test. Technical Rounds
After qualifying the online round, the candidate is called for the technical interviews. There are 2 technical rounds of 60 minutes each. Here, the interview panel tends to check the technical and academic prowess of the candidate. Candidate should have sound knowledge of Data Structures, DBMS, Operating Systems, Networking and the related topics. Questions are also asked regarding the projects undertaken by the candidate. In addition, the interviewers may ask the candidate to solve a few questions.
Managerial & HR Round
Once the candidates clear the Technical Rounds, they are called for the last stage after 1-2 weeks. The final rounds include a managerial and an HR interview. The managerial interview lasts for almost 30 minutes, followed by an HR interview of 10-15 minutes. In these interviews, the candidate is put questions around his/her career goals, interests, personal values, family background, and details mentioned in his/her resume.
