Goldman Sachs Recruitment Process
Goldman Sachs conducts 4-6 rounds for recruiting graduate and postgraduate freshers. The selection is done on the basis of academic knowledge and skills of the candidate. Generally, the process starts with an online application or test, followed by a few interview rounds. In some cases, the candidate may need to fill a detailed online application form that enquires about candidate’s motivations, experiences and personality traits. Eligibility Criteria
  • Final or pre-final year student of engineering (B.Tech/M.Tech).
  • Less than 12 months of work experience.
This is a written test comprising of technical questions. The test is divided into four sections that need to be answered within the given time limit. The candidate is required to be proficient in coding, programming and related technical knowledge. The test pattern of online assessment is as follows:

Technical Interviews
After qualifying the written test, the candidates are called for 2-3 technical interviews. In these face-to-face rounds, questions are asked regarding various technical concepts. Most of the questions are related to data structures, networking, algorithms, database management, and programming languages. Further, the candidate is also asked about his/her internships, projects and training.
Telephonic Interviews
The next stage consists of 1-2 telephonic interviews. Here, the interviewer tends to evaluate the basic knowledge of candidate. Questions are mostly based on the course subjects of the candidate’s graduation. Some of questions may be around the specific role that the candidate has applied for.
HR/Managerial Interview
This is the final stage of selection process at Goldman Sachs. The purpose of this interview is to check the personality traits of the candidate. Candidates are asked about their personal values, weaknesses, strengths, career plans, family background and information provided in the resume.
