BCG Recruitment Process
BCG conducts hiring for consulting as well as non-consulting job profiles. The firm recruits people from top colleges and institutes of the country. Initially, the candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their resume. The panel looks for candidates with great problem-solving skills and clarity of mind. The shortlisted candidates appear for a written test, after which 2-4 interviews are held. Some of the interviews may be carried out in telephonic/video mode. In case of direct applications, a similar procedure is followed. Given below are the details of each step of BCG selection process:

Online Test
Once the candidate clears the resume review stage, he/she needs to take an online test. The test comprises of 23 questions, based on a case study/problem. The questions are heavily based on mathematical concepts. Each correct answer is awarded 3 marks while there is a negative marking of 1 mark for every incorrect answer. The duration of the test is 45 minutes. Candidate is required to score atleast 70% to qualify for the next round. The level of the test is generally difficult. Also, BCG offers a few sample tests for preparation.
Behavioral Interview Round
In this round, the interviewers evaluate the personality fit and suitability of the candidate. There are 1-2 behavioural interviews of 20 minutes each. Here, the panel tries to assess the traits, values, background, and experience of the candidate. In addition, candidate is asked questions related to the information listed in his/her resume. Finally, a few minutes is reserved for the candidate to ask role-related queries.
Case Interview Round
This is the most crucial round of selection. In these interviews, the candidate is presented with a case study. Most of the interview questions revolve around the given case study. The candidate is expected to explain a stepwise approach for the resolution of the issue at hand. The purpose of this round is to check the analytical skills and knowledge of the candidate. Depending upon the job profile, candidate goes through 1-2 case interviews of 30-45 minutes each.
