Cognizant Selection Process:
Selection process of every company entails a series of screening rounds, to get the right set of people for certain job profiles. Cognizant recruitment process includes an online written test, followed by interviews. Cognizant Interview Process
The next rounds involve a GenC and a GenC Next Interviews. Following are the details of each phase:
GenC Interview
Candidates who qualify the written test are called for GenC interview. This includes questions based on programming, data structures, and algorithms. GenC is basically a technical interview round, followed by some general questions. The candidate is given some easy and a few difficult questions in this round.
GenC Next Interview
Only those who qualify GenC interview are eligible for this round. However, even if the candidate is not able to clear GenC Next interview but qualifies GenC interview, they are hired for the relevant role. Usually, candidates with some coding experience only are able to ace GenC Next interview round and bag a higher job profile. This interview mainly assesses the candidate's knowledge of programming concepts and algorithms, as well as their personality traits, communication skills, and problem-solving behaviours.
