Coal India Limited (CIL) is Public Sector Undertakings (PSU) that comes under Ministry of Coal, Government of India. It has also earned status of Maharatna. It is head quartered in Kolkata, India. The main function of this largest coal producing company is that it produces non-cooking and cooking coal of various grades for diverse applications.

Academic Criteria
- Minimum 60% marks or 6 CGPA in relevant engineering field is required. There is relaxation for SC/ST/PH wherein they require a minimum of 55% marks.
- B.E/B.Tech (Mining, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Electronics & Communication, Industrial Engineering) are eligible.

- Each question will carry 1 mark and there is no penalty for wrong answer
- The question paper will be in bilingual language i.e. Hindi or English only.
