Test Pattern & Selection Procedure of C-DAC

CDAC Admission Process for PG Diploma Courses:
The organization conducts C- CAT (Computerized Admission Test) for admissions in PG Diploma Courses. C- CAT is usually conducted twice a year in the month of:
  • June( for August admissions)
  • December( for February admissions)
C- CAT has three sections (A, B, C). A candidate can opt for either one paper (Section A) or two (Section A and B) or all the three test papers (Section A, B and C). The candidate can appear only for that specific test paper as per the category of the courses opted by him/her while filling the online application form.

Test Description
  • Each test paper consists of 50 objective type questions and each question carries 4 options.
  • There is -1 (minus 1) for mark for wrong answer and +3(plus 3) for every correct answer
  • The maximum marks a candidate can obtain in any one section of the exam are 150.

  • English section covers questions based on Reading Comprehension, Prepositions, Articles, Vocabulary , Antonyms, Synonyms, Sentence Rearrangement
  • Quantitative Aptitude consists of questions based on Number System, LCM, HCF, Averages, Ages, Percentages, Profit & Loss, Partnership, Chain Rule, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Pipes & Cisterns, Boats & Streams, Simple & Compound Interest, Clocks & Calendars, Permutations & Combinations, and Probability.
  • Reasoning section consists of questions related to Seating Arrangements, Number Series, Analogy, Blood Relations & Directions, Coding- Decoding, Data Sufficiency, Syllogisms
